No fomo

Straight facts. The benefits of sobriety far outweigh the benefits of drinking. The FOMO is long gone. I’m not missing out on jack shit by choosing not to drink. I did miss out on countless things and memories to be made when I was drowning in the bottle. I was also so scared of what people might think of me when I tell them I don’t drink. Those who knew me said “Thank GOD!” and those who didn’t really didn’t care one way or the other. My ego got in the way of my happiness for years. I’m still in awe of the benefits of a sober life. I’m not waking up in random places with random “friends”. I’m not putting out fires for the stupid shit I post. I’m not starting each day filled with anxiety and dread. As our friend @plethora.of.bliss7 says. “Starve ego, feed soul, you’ll get serenity”. That’s life-changing advice. Happy Friday, sober family. Keep it simple today.
